Open your preferred shell (Posix-compatible, Bash, ZSH, ASH, DASH - KSH is currently not supported), and execute the following command to install x-cmd:

sh

```
eval "$(curl https://get.x-cmd.com)"
```

If your system doesn't have curl, you can use the installation method with wget:

sh

```
eval "$(wget -O- https://get.x-cmd.com)"
```

Installation in a Linux Container [​](http://x-cmd.com/start#installation-in-a-linux-container)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Linux containers are typically minimalistic, so we provide several methods:

1.  If your image has curl, you can use the installation method mentioned above.
2.  Alpine-based images can use the wget installation method mentioned above. Note that early Alpine images may not support HTTPS in wget. In such cases, you can use the **Container Injection Method** below.
3.  Container Injection Method:
    1.  `x docker run -x -it <container-name>`
    2.  `x docker setup <container-name>`
